The Benjamin Hotel, New York City

The Benjamin

New York New York, I am so happy to be back again! Words can’t describe my excitement of being in this city, and there is no better way to kick off New York Fashion Week than offered the most welcome stay at The Benjamin Hotel.

The Benjamin is set in a 1927 Romanesque Revival landmark with a tony wood-panelled lobby. It is located in East Midtown, the heart of the city, only 3 blocks from Rockefeller Centre and 7 from Grand Central station, which makes it a great base to explore New York City.

When you are staying in an amazing suite, chances of you wanting to leave the room is quite low. Luckily the Benjamin offers in-room dining on a selection of chef Geoffrey Zakarian’s coveted menu from The National’s dining rooms. Breakfast in bed it is!

Well, we all know that it’s actually quite difficult eating in bed and no one wants to spill coffee all over the bed, so it’s more like taking photos of pretending-to-eat-breakfast-in-bed and then eating away from bed. Is that what everyone else does or just me? The Benjamin NYCThe Benjamin NYCThe Benjamin NYC

So moving away from the bed, we decided that the balcony is probably the better place to enjoy our breakfast and amazing New York views (and street noise). Even though we are 26 floors above ground, we can still hear the bustling city below us, but watching hectic traffic go by has never felt so relaxing. It almost feels like our own little paradise in the middle of this concrete jungle. The Benjamin NYCThe Benjamin NYC

We’ve all heard that living in New York is like living in a shoe box, so I was pleasantly surprised with the generous space The Benjamin suites offered. My suite had a spacious living room with a study area, separate to the bedroom and kitchen. The whole place is bigger than my apartment back at home! Another great thing about this suite is that you get amazing views of NYC from every window!

The Benjamin also offers a range of experiences to enhance guests’ stays. One of their newest experiences is the On-Demand Meditation – meditation available at the touch of your finger tips using your in-room phone with accompanying cushions and a tray with buddha head and flameless candles to set the mood. It was a great way for me to ease into the chaotic fashion week ahead.

Another great experience they offer is the Rest & Renew Program, led by sleep medicine expert, Dr. Rebecca Robbins, offers ideal solutions and tools to ensure the best possible night’s sleep, making bedtime a “dream come true.” This includes a curated pillow menu to choose from based on your sleeping positions and other in-room pampering and spa treatments. Definitely an indulgence to get a luxuriously restful stay in the city that never sleeps! Good night NYC!
